You may also be able to faintly hear a Reaper's roars from there, but it should be far enough away that you don't have to actually deal with it. You just need to search wrecks aggressively, its as simple as that. Glitches aside, there is usually one in the general area beneath #4. Solution is to keep to the surface. I've yet to see it take an interest if you stay on the surface while heading to loot #4, or investigate the Aurora for that matter.
