How much oil goes in a predator 212
I have run it for 30-45 minutes this weekend, and it runs great. It is a 212cc predator engine. I am having some oil, which appears to be coming from around the valve cover..dripping down the front of the engine. I know these engines are designed to sit at a 40-45 degree angle. Mine is sitting basically vertical.
The GX160 from an HS621 will be an easier swap, presumably everything would just line up and drop in. The Predator may be a bigger project, if things don't fit. The far-simpler approach is just to get the GX160, and use the blower happily, vs getting into a possibly bigger undertaking with the Predator. Ariens 1024 Pro.

If your Predator is a hemi you will probably be limited by coil bind, theyre too long for that head and 22 pounders fit much better. As far as 7000 rpm goes, yeah I think they could probably handle it but dont know for sure. We put 26# in ours and they will easily rev that high. Unless you have a pretty serious build there is no need for higher octane fuel. 87/89 is perfectly fine for these engines. The compression ratio isn't enough to need 91 or higher octane. 3. Reply. The 212 and 224 are equally reliable. They're really not that different actually; the extra 12cc just comes from the 224 having a longer stroke. If you're just going to do stage 1 mods then go with the 224 as that's going to give you more power. I went inside for 25 minutes then went back out for another ride and tried to pull start it and it was locked up. I looked and there was gas dripping out of the exhaust.
